No bumps in donating your car
Most people have at least one charity that they would like to help out. There is numerous ways to help, they can join in protest rallies, send letters, sign petitions and they can also participate in the fund-raising events that they hold. But what if there was a way for you to use your old car as a means to help them too?
Some charities would want to give cars to a person who needs it but can’t afford to buy one at such a high prize. Then they might be able to check whether your car, which is hopefully still running, can be used by that person.
Car donations almost all the time leads to cars being auctioned off to those who want to buy cars either online or on a much lower prize than other car dealers. The money that is gained is divided between the charity and the company that does the car donation program unless the charity has this own service.
The steps are easy; they usually ask you to fill out a form either online or in person. Then you can call their hotline and they would get your information down into their system. This information would be sent to a towing company that would contact you to ask when they can get the car. It’s usually 24 hours. Then the tow driver would hand you the tax receipt when they pick up the car. This way you can loose a baggage and do a good deed too.
